Fábio, boa tarde!

Gostaria de saber de onde foi tirado do PNA que a perda da eficiência do propulsor é de aprox 10% quando considerada a aceleração rotacional w(1-a’) na Momentum Theory.

Já procurei da p. 133 a 135 (item 2.4) e o autor não deixa nada escrito sobre esses 10% !

Poderia esclarecer, por gentileza ?

Está na pg 239 da seção 10 – “Other Propulsion Devices”

Since from the 10 percent maximum potential saving
in energy from the total elimination of rotational
losses, the contra-propeller action of the ship rudder
alone is already contributing 3 to 4 percent, it will be
clear from the above that part of the 4 to 8 percent
power savings obtained with the reaction fin has to be
attributed to an improvement in the flow on the after
body and in the propeller-hull interaction. (pg 239)
